On this edition of the weekly buff we have a very cool car you dont see often a 2025 Volkswagon Golf R Black Edition with euro spec treatment. It came in for paint correction, ceramic coating, tint, and Full nose PPF to protect it for years to come as the owner was keeping this vehicles for years and hopefully giving it to his son as his first car.
The first thing as always was to prep the vehicle with a full decon wash. Jon began using our EVO Foam Cannon as well as EVO Shampoo, and fresh wash mits to ensure that he didnt add any swirls or scratches in the process. He also went over the vehicle with a mild blue claybar to remove anything abrasive that may have been on the finish to ensure we don’t add damage when polishing.
Once that was complete Josh began the correction process first using microfiber pads along with our EVO Heavy Cut polish to remove heavy imperfection on the paint, but leaving a light haze behind in the process. To remove that haze we use a light foam pad along with our EVO 3000 finishing polish to bring out as much gloss in the paint as possible.
The next step was for Josh and Jon to begin the PPF install, which even though this is a smaller vehicle took quite a long time as there were 48 pieces total with all the center black pieces on the euro spec package. The PPF comes with a 10 year limited warranty, and covers lifting, excessive bubbles, and if a rock hits the film goes through and damages the paint we will remove and replace the film with a new piece.
The final step in the process was for Jr and Andrew to apply ceramic coating to the entire finish of the vehicle. First we started with our EVO PRO Graphene coating in two layers to ensure maximum protection from the sun, and permanent stains from waterspots bug stains, and other stains.
We also applied coating to all the plastic trim, wheel face, and glass on the exterior to prevent any staining on those surfaces as well. Once that was complete we allow everything to cure and had the vehicle ready for pick up. When the vehicle owner picked it up he loved it and even brought the crew lunch so they could enjoy some home made food from his family.
