On this edition of the weekly buff we have a brand new 202r Ford Raptor R. This one came in for ceramic coating, paint correction, and ceramic window tint, as well as ppf. Even though it was brand new it did have some paint imperfections from transport and poor “detailing” at the dealers before pick up. This truck boasts a supercharged V8 that puts out 750Hp as is no slouch off road as well.
The first thing as always is a full wash with decontamination to remove anything abrasive that may have been on the paint from previous driving or transport. Jr and Josh used a mild clay bar along with our EVO Shampoo and new fresh washmits to get the surface ready for paint correction. Once it was ready they began first with our EVO 3000 finishing polish and a foam pad to leave a clear paint finish with no haze, swirls, or imperfections noticeable to the eye.
Once that was complete Josh began the PPF install using patterns cut with our plotter using Suntek ultra to ensure that we can give the best coverage possible to the customer. Some patterns as always get customized for a more precise fit and better coverage. He began with the hood, fenders, and moved on to the bumper and headlights to ensure everything fit perfectly.
The final step was for the crew to apply a full array of our Ceramic Coatings on the truck. They began with our EVO PRO Ceramic coatings for the paint finish in two layers to ensure maximum protection. They used our EVO Wheel & Caliper coating for the face of the wheels to make it easier to clean and stop brake dust from baking into the wheels and staining them. They used the EVO Plastic Renew & Protect on all the trim around the truck to keep it black and stop it from fading to grey or white over time.
Once everything was complete we let the customer know it was ready for pick up and they were ecstatic when they saw the results. If youd like to see your vehicle on the weekly buff visit GIDETAIL.COM and let us know you came from youtube for a special discount if your vehicle qualifies.
