On this edition of the weekly buff we have a beautiful car that we’ve only had a few of on the channel before. A beauty of a neon green/ lime green Maserati MC20 powered by a twin turbo V6 pumping out around 621Hp and doing 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. This makes it the 2nd most powerful engine in the world, meaning it puts out the 2nd most Hp per Liter of any engine in the world.
When it got dropped off the first thing we did as always is a decontamination wash to get a clear look at the paint and to ensure no additional damage was present. Now the car did have some rock chips that we would touch up later on but the owner had already been made aware of the issue upon drop off. We used our EVO Shampoo and EVO Foam Cannon to ensure that we got a perfectly fresh paint coat along with a green mild clay bar to remove anything abrasive that may have been stuck on the paint.
The next step was a simple 1 step polish with our EVO 21 polisher and our evo 3000 finishing polish. This will remove and slight scratches and imperfections in the paint before we lay down PPF ensuring that damage isnt magnified under the Paint Protection Film. Jon and Josh our PPF installers also used a gravity pen to apply some color matched touch up paint to the front end of the vehicle. Next step was for Jon and Josh to begin the lengthy PPF application process. We used a mix of patterns and hand cut pieces to ensure the best seamless fit possible. The entire install took about 2 full days and the crew working around the clock to get it complete, but we had a deadline to meet for our customer who had a charity carshow to display it at.
We removed the wheel to clean the barrels and clean the calipers. This also allowed us to polish the wheels, and apply our EVO Wheel & Caliper Coating with a spray gun to get a thick layer applied to the entire wheel, and caliper making it easier to clean for years to come, and ensuring that annoying brake dust wont stick to them. We also applied a full array of our Gloss IT Ceramic Coatings including our Glass Coating, Plastic Renew & Protect, and our EVO PRO Graphene Ceramic Coating providing years of protection for the vehicle.
