On this edition of the weekly buff we have a brand new 2025 Supra owned by a new customer who is a Delta Airlines Mechanic and wanted to protect his brand new car he just picked up. It was a beautiful blue supra that was looking to get full nose PPF protection on to prevent rock chips and other damage on the front end as well as the roof, as well as ceramic coating on the rest of the vehicle to protect it from the elements.
The first thing we did to this vehicle was remove the partial PPF that the dealer had applied to the front end of the hood as well as fender partial PPF was removed so we could protect the entire panel. Once that was complete Jon began the wash and decon process like every vehicle we do normally. He used a mild claybar to remove anything abrasive on the finish before polishing. Once that was complete Marcus began the polish on the entire finish before Jon started the PPF by bolt cutting the hood since its so large and wide. the next step was to apply the fenders since they’re so small, and then Jon moved onto the bumper which was quite difficult and has hard concave lines that make it a time consuming bumper to PPF.
Once that was complete Marcus and Jon moved on to the ceramic coating on the entire finish. We used our EVO 9H ceramic coating applied in two layers, We also applied our EVO PPF Coating on the front end and roof to protect the film from the UV damage. The final coating Marcus applied was our EVO wheel & caliper coating to make the wheels easier to clean over time and prevent brake dust from sticking.
