This Tundra came in to us as a completely white truck, and the owner wanted to both protect it but change the color as well. We went over several different brand and color options and came to a beautiful color choice from PURE PPF that has a flop from red to orange to black its a great color in the sun. The first thing that needed to be done as always when it came in was a full decontamination wash, along with removal of trim pieces, headlights, and some painted pieces to get the most coverage possible since we were covering all white with a dark color we needed to eliminate any of the original color popping through.
Once that was complete Josh and Job began the process of wrapping beginning with the roof and then moving on to the doors in one piece to ensure we eliminate as many seems as possible. They kept a good pace, and were about halfway done in about 2 days, but the remaining pieces were difficult as we had to move the truck bed slightly back to ensure maximum coverage of the film. Once they figured that out they were able to proceed with the PPF wrap, it was coming along nicely, Once they were complete with it.
We applied one last step using our EVO PRO Graphene to give the PPF an additional layer of protection and prevent staining on the vehicle from bird droppings, water spots, bug stains etc. Once the customer saw it they couldn’t believe it was their same truck they loved the outcome and the color choice they made.
