On this edition of the weekly buff we have a beautiful silver McLaren GTS that came in for ceramic coating and full nose PPF. this one is owned by an attorney out of California that will be driving it all the way back from Vegas which is why it was essential that we protected this beauty for years to come.
The first step as always is a full decon wash with our EVO PRO shampoo along with a bit of dawn to remove anything abrasive or waxes and polishes that could be on the finish from factory, transport, or dealership. We use fresh wash mits and a mild claybar to ensure nothing abrasive is on the finish for polishing before PPF and coating.
Jr and Andrew began the polishing process which was a fairly easy pad and product combination as this paint was nearly flawless and only had a few minor swirls. They used the EVO 21 polisher along with a foam pad and our EVO 3000 finishing polish to ensure the finish looked flawless and was ready for coating and PPF.
Josh and Jon began the ppf install with the hood, then moved on to the fenders which weren’t nearly as bad as they looked it took some stretching, but they looked perfect when complete. This spec had a ton of carbon fiber, and the entire center section of carbon was protected by ppf as well to prevent any rock chips or damage.
Once that was completed Jr and Andrew began ceramic coating the finish to give the final layer of protection to the finish to help prevent rock chips they used our EVO PRO Graphene Ceramic Coating in two layers to provide an 8year warranty, along with our EVO Glass Coating, EVO Plastic Renew & Protect, and finally EVO Wheel & Caliper Coating. these will make it much easier to clean and maintain for years to come, as well as provide an additional layer of protection to the ppf from staining.
