On this edition of the weekly buff we have a beautiful F150 Shelby Edition built right here in Las Vegas, with a supercharged motor putting out 785HP. The customer came to us and wanted to get PPF, Paint correction, and ceramic coating, as well as ceramic tint on the entire vehicle so that it would be a bit cooler in the Vegas summers.
The first step as always is a full decontamination wash with fresh wash mits, EVO Shampoo, GLOSS IT APC, Wheel Gel, and fresh clay bars to remove anything abrasive that may have been on the paint from the factory or shelby assembly. Once that was complete Jr began a 1 step correction using our EVO 2000 cut finish along with a EVO Foam pad to remove light haze and swirls that were on certain areas of the truck.
Once that was complete Jon began the PPF process first by removing the necessary trim pieces to allow for a seamless install on the hood and fenders, The owner wanted to leave the stripes as is, so Jon had to do each side in its own piece as well as a piece down the center to protect the white between the stripes. He also protected the bumper, mirrors and headlights with ppf, as well as A pillars to prevent rock chips and scratches.
The final step was for Jr to apply a full array of our Ceramic Coatings on the truck he used our EVO Pro Coating on the entire finish as well, as Plastic Renew & Protect on any trim that required it, EVO Wheel & Caliper Coating on the face of the wheels, and last but not least our EVO Glass Coating. When the owner picked up the truck he loved the outcome and was ready to head on his road trip with his family for the summer.
